Argentina took the lead early as the Panama defence went walkabouts. The spectacle was then ruined for most spectators when Godoy was sent off. Panama managed to hold out until Messi came on and scored eight minutes after his introduction - quickly adding a second and third to underline his status as a living legend. Aguero scored in the last minute of regulation time, with Panama completely shattered.
Argentina are through to the quarter-finals after just two games.
