Death of Bobby Marshall at the age of 64. He became one of the finest inside forwards of his generation enjoying a career that lasted 20 years. He started his career at Sunderland in 1919, signed for Manchester City in 1928, ending his playing career at Stockport County for whom he signed in 1939. He appeared in two consecutive Cup Finals, winning one in 1934 and won a League Championship Medal in the 1936-37 season missing only 4 matches. After he finished playing he went on to manage Stockport County and Chesterfield. He played in a total of 512 League matches and scored 138 goals.
