Three vital points in the crucial Lancashire relegation derby against Blackburn Rovers would have made them worthy contenders for the award anyway but, of course, Bolton Wanderers have had much more to contend with in the past week.
The Whites made an emotional return to action a week after midfielder Fabrice Muamba suffered his cardiac arrest during the FA Cup tie at Tottenham Hotspur.
According to club doctor Jonathan Tobin, Fabrice was ‘in effect dead’ for 78 minutes following his collapse at White Hart Lane.
Prior to the 2-1 win over Blackburn, supporters held up a mosaic of cards which spelled out ‘Muamba 6’, referring to his shirt number, and both sets of players

This week's suspension list does not include Bolton Wanderers' Gary Cahill who successfully appealed against his controversial red card at Tottenham Hotspur last Saturday.
