    Wigan Athletic win this week's performance of the week for their victory against Arsenal at the Emirates.

    Going two up in the opening minutes, Wigan managed to absorb all the Gunners could throw at them and hang on for a famous and historic 2-1 victory.

    Man of the match, Victor Moses proved to be the best performer on the pitch and his decision to play for the country of his birth is clearly England's loss as well as Nigeria's gain.

    Goal of the Week goes to Hatem Ben Arfa for his goal for Newcastle United against Bolton Wanderers on Easter Monday. Picking the ball up in his own half, Ben Arfa scored a great individual goal which Lionel Messi would have been proud of, beating three defenders on the way.

    This week's performance of the week belongs to Wigan Athletic for their deserved win against Manchester United.

    As the impressive Wigan manager Roberto Martinez pointed out, this is an historic victory for Wigan who have never previously taken a point off Manchester United. It also takes Wigan out of the bottom three for the first time since September.

    As Alex Ferguson admitted after the match, Wigan were the better side and are in a false position - with the standard of their play certainly meriting a higher position in the League.
