    APOEL Nicosia have become the first Cypriot team to reach the quarter-finals of any European competition after beating Lyon 4-3 on penalties (1-1 on aggregate) to qualify for the last eight of the Champions League.

    • They have been the champions in Cyprus 21 times

    • This is only the second time they’ve reached the group stages of the Champions League.
