This week's Performance of the Week goes to Robbie Keane (Aston Villa) at Wolverhampton Wanderers
In a month that has been enriched by remarkable player comebacks, it was almost inevitable that Robbie Keane would play a significant part on his return to the home of his first club.
It is 14 years and £70 million in transfer fees since he marked his debut for Wolves with two goals against Norwich City.
On loan from LA Galaxy, Robbie’s two-goal match-winning salvo means he has become the seventh player to score for six different clubs in the Premier League joining Andy Cole, Les Ferdinand, Craig Bellamy, Peter Crouch, Nicky Barmby and Marcus Bent.
The Republic of Ireland international insisted that the respect and gratitude he feels towards Wolves meant he was never going to celebrate after he scored:

"I had wonderful times at Wolves and they are a club that looked after me as a kid. I'll never forget, they did so much for me. I've got a lot of friends at the club still and it's always great to come back. I'll never celebrate if I score against them. I never celebrate when I score against any of my former clubs out of respect.”
