A classy defender who played at left-back or wing-back during his time on Tyneside, Didier is a former France Under-21 international.
Failed to settle in at Newcastle. A broken rib, somehow incurred on an air flight, disrupted his pre-season training, and by December 2000 he had fallen out of favour, returned to Paris and soon afterwards he was sold to his former club, Paris St Germain.
A classy defender who can play either at left back or in a wing-back role, he is composed on the ball with a good touch and the ability to deliver a telling cross.
