After overcoming a serious ankle injury sustained in the previous season, Marc had high hopes at Coventry City at the start of the 2000-01 campaign.
He played consistently well at right back in the early matches with his overlapping runs being a key feature of his play.
However, he was then switched to the troublesome left-back position to cover for injuries and looked much less comfort-able there, before picking up a groin strain that kept him out for several weeks.
He was back in action on New Year's Day when he scored his first goal for the Sky Blues with a speculative shot that foxed Nicky Weaver of Manchester City, but was then sidelined by a calf problem.
On his return, he soon lost his place to Barry Quinn and spent the remainder of the season on the subs' bench and in the reserves.
Marc joined Norwich City in August 2003 with a two-year contract.
He joined Leicester City in November 2008 with a two-month contract that was extended to June 2009 in January 2009.
Marc joined Burton Albion in August 2009 with a one-month contract.
